NEST Project Offers Demonstrations at MAAFS 2008 Annual Meeting

NEST Project Demonstrations will be offered when Marshall University Forensic Science Center hosts the Mid-Atlantic Association of Forensic Scientists Annual Meeting and workshops April 28 – May 2, 2008 in Huntington, West Virginia. The day-long demonstration covering single-source samples and information about mixture analysis and deconvolution tools will be offered onApril 28.

Coming Soon
Information about demonstrations by the NEST Project will be announced in the coming months. At this time, updates to expert systems for single-source sample analysis are being evaluated so the Project Team can stay abreast with the latest technology available to the forensic community. Phase II, the evaluation of different mixture deconvolution tools, is presently underway.

Phase I demonstrations for technical managers and DNA analysts from participating laboratories concluded in January 2008.
