MUFSC Receives FQS-I Reaccreditation

As of January 31, 2008, the Marshall University Forensic Science Center has been reaccredited by Forensic Quality Services – International (FQS-I).  This accreditation certifies MUFSC complies with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and FQS-I Forensic Requirements for Accreditation for offender databasing and forensic casework DNA testing.  The scope of accreditation has been expanded to include Y-STR testing. 

Accreditation by FQS-I is another testament to MUFSC’s dedication to quality.  It is essential to providing peace of mind to law enforcement personnel who depend on MUFSC to provide reliable forensic analysis.  The MUFSC is also accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) for relationship testing activities.
