Position: Computer Forensics Specialist, Marshall University Research Corporation
Location: Forensic Science Center
Position Type:  Full-time, Exempt
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Computer Forensics; one year experience in related field; minimum 2 years experience providing computer forensic and other ID security related services; Computer Forensics certifications such as A+, CFCE, GIAC, Security+, or a forensics related degree; must be able to pass background check and polygraph conducted by WV State Police.

Duties: Responsible for working with members of the WV State Police and other law enforcement agencies. Evidence packaging, transport, and storage, along with Computer Forensic Analysis and data recovery. Research to maintain proficiency in open and closed source information examinations tools, techniques, procedures and trends. Perform testing, evaluation, and validation of new digital forensic technologies and techniques. Assist in investigations within MUFSC's regional Computer Forensics Laboratory. Develop and present computer forensic training, especially cell phone forensics, to law enforcement, graduate students, and criminal justice practitioners.
