Salary: $22,436/annually

Qualifications: 18 months of training beyond high school and over two years of related experience, and experience with MURC and/or University travel policies; experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and QuickBooks. Ability to maintain complex physical and computer-based filing systems to track documents; ability to track multiple tasks in an environment of rapidly changing deadlines and priorities; familiarity with typical document formats such as letters, memos, and reports; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing and possess knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling, and punctuation; ability to use general office equipment including scanners, printers, and copiers; ability to work independently or with limited supervision, while exercising good judgment.

Duties: Set up and maintain the Director's appointment calendar of activities; make arrangements for meetings by setting up meeting rooms, contacting other officials or staff members involved regarding materials or reports to be presented or discussed for the Director; attend meetings as instructed by Director and take summary or verbatim notes; prepare and distribute the minutes of the meetings; coordinate travel arrangements for Director including dates, times, destinations, and mode of transportation; prepare internal travel forms for Director for submission to the appropriate personnel; receive and read incoming correspondence, reports, instructions and similar documents; identify those communications which require the personal attention of the Director and attach the appropriate background material; flag priority items for the Director's review. Arrange correspondence for the Director's personal reply in order of priority; organize, plan, and coordinate functions hosted by the NEST project; prepare letters, reports, proposals, charts, and memorandum from rough draft to final form; review letters, reports and request as required; provide administrative support such as filing, collating, copying, and organizing documents; arrange, participate in and implement, as directed the NEST training session; responsible for help-desk functions for NEST training sessions; coordinate and compile data for training manuals; coordinate the purchasing of supplies required for NEST project; type FedEx labels & deliver packages to FedEx drop off sites; other duties as assigned.
