Position: DNA Analyst II, Forensic Science
Location: Forensic Science Center
Position Type: Full-time position
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Qualifications: Master's degree in forensic Science, Biology, Chemistry or a Forensic related science including course work in areas of genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, legal issues and statistics. Minimum of two years experience in complex DNA analysis including operation of complex laboratory instrumentation/equipment and experience in conducting technical review of DNA Analysis. Expert witness testimony experience in the field of DNA analysis.

Duties: Conduct analysis on samples submitted for DNA identification according to established protocol; produce detailed accurate reports of results, conclusions and statistical calculation; organize and maintain detailed records relating to all aspects of laboratory operations; participate in validation of new laboratory procedures and equipment; perform general laboratory maintenance and calibration of equipment; follow laboratory policies and practices as mandated by federal standards.
